My name is Brittani Lang and I am a Graduate of Muskogee Bridges Getting Ahead class. When I started Bridges I was a mom of three, on section 8, receiving food stamps and daycare assistance. I met Success Coach Shenia McNac-Salimonu at an enrollment for early head start where she gave me information and asked me to apply. So of course I did with no hesitation. While being apart of this great program I started taking general ed classes at Connors State College so I could get into the RN program. During GA class I would share some of my hardships and was then introduced to my mentor, Angela Martindale, who will forever be apart of my life. It’s a long story but from all of this, began a foundation that would allow me to get to where I am now. I have been a RN for 3 yrs! One of the major goals I set was to be debt free! I am very happy to say I achieved this goal! This is proof that if you work hard enough to achieve your goals you can conquer them! I am living proof! I hope this helps someone along their way! Never give up! Keep on pushing! You can do anything you put your mind to!
